Ruins

Some of the largest castle ruins in the southern edge of the foothills of the Hostýnské vrchy (Hostýn Hills) lie about 2km north of the village of Lukov. The original castle was founded in the 1st quarter of the 13th century on a relatively narrow rock ridge and due to its position and execution, it was a unique phenomenon for the architecture of that time.

The partially reconstructed castle is surrounded by a beautiful beech forest and the sandstone rocks are popular among mountain climbers. Various cultural events take place in the castle (Šermířské dny [Sword Fighting Days] or eerie nighttime tours)
